Description:

A fast acting, effective way to kill Aphids, Beetles, Webworms, Leafhoppers and many other yard and garden insects. Safely use up to the day of harvest! Bonide Pyrethrin Garden Insect Spray contains pyrethrum, an all natural pesticide which is extracted from the blossoms of the pyrethrum flower, Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium. Use on vegetables, fruits, roses, flowers, and ornamentals. Can safely be used on delicate ornamentals. This insecticide may be used outdoors or in a greenhouse throughout the entire growing season or as a preharvest treatment when other insecticides are prohibited due to residue restrictions and use limitations. To control insects named on the plants listed below, use 7.5 to 15 fluid ounces of concentrate in 5 gallons of water or 3 to 5 tablespoons per single gallon of water or 1 tablespoon per quart of water. Apply to insure thorough coverage of upper and lower leaf surfaces. Use caution on new growth and tender foliage. Prepare only the amount of spray required. Holding dilute spray more than 24 hours is not recommended. On asparagus, use to control asparagus beetle. On garden beans, use to control aphids, leafhoppers, 12-spotted cucumber beetle, whitefly, and Mexican bean beetle. On broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower, use to control aphids, cabbage looper, cross-striped cabbageworm, diamondback moth larvae, flea beetle, harlequin bug, imported cabbageworm, and stink bug. On celery, use to control green peach aphid, leaftier, and cabbage looper. On cranberries, use to control fireworms and leafhopper. On eggplants, use to control blister beetle, Colorado potato beetle, flea beetle, and green peach aphid. On lettuce, use to control cabbage looper, green peach aphid, diamondback moth larvae, and imported cabbageworm. On tomatoes, use to control green peach aphid, stink bug, Colorado potato beetle, and flea beetle

5The Product WorksAug 04, 2010
By K. M. "Synyster"
It does work, but I had to play with it a bit to get the right strength. I used 3 tablespoons to one gallon instead of the recommended 2. This seemed to kill like I wanted it to.

I would buy it again.

5Best Mosquito Repellant I have found!Jun 18, 2011
By Dr. C
I am a mosquito magnet and have never been able to enjoy the outdoors without spraying down. After using this product, it has changed how I live outdoors. No mosquitos as long as I spray every 3 weeks or after a rain. Its a small bottle but worth every drop!

3Small bottleJun 10, 2011
By J. Millar "James"
I've always been somewhat of a fan of Pyrethrin.
As insecticides go it's probibly the closest thing you can get to "natural"

One word of caution:
I know this is a concentrate, but the picture is close to actual size...
The bottle is 6 1/4" high.
I looked at the ad without reading the details and assumed it was about "quart sized"
It's far from it...
It's actually 8 oz of product.
The good news - that makes 5 gallons or so.
So no harm done.

Other than that, Pyrethrin is very effective on insects and relatively safe.

4Works well for getting rid of gnatsMay 25, 2011
By Aj7805
This is a good product to use if you are having a gnat problem. The smell is a little strong, reminds me of mineral spirits, but other than that I would recommend this for use on indoor plants.

4Effective Mosquito ControlJul 12, 2011
By Robert M Wilson
This has worked to control adult mosquitoes.
This is a small bottle, only 8 ounces(dilution is 1 ounce to a quart).
I spray every other day, at sunset to avoid spraying bees.
Expensive but seems the safest way.
