I have waited to write this review until I could see how well this product worked. I grew, in a controlled atmosphere, first with LED lighting only (Sunshine Systems LEDGP45 GlowPanel 28 Watt 45 LED Grow Light) and was pleased with the result. This CO2 generation system was added after five weeks of growth, and the results are easily discernible. The growth with the CO2 system is more rapid and fuller; more vegetative matter that is well beyond the growth shown with lights only. As I mentioned earlier, I have this in a controlled setting (a grow tent - LED Wholesalers GYO1001 62-Inch x 36-Inch x 20-Inch Mylar Reflective Hydroponic Grow Tent) so I can easily control the stimulative factors. It would be pointless to test this without lighting since plants use CO2 only during photosynthesis, which, by definition, requires light.
How effective this would be in an open setting, I could not begin to predict as there are so many other factors involved. An unfortunate draft, for example, could remove any of the CO2 generated. Fortunately, that is not a problem in my closed system. By the way, I vent only at night when CO2 is not being used. I vent for two hours, then allow the CO2 concentration to build up again before the lights come back on.
I purchased this as an affordable and space saving alternative to the tank and valve system used in commercial greenhouses. It is held in place at the top of the tent with strapping tape - very high tech. I have been very happy with the results, and when this one is exhausted (when it turns white - reportedly 6 months) I will absolutely replace it with the same product.

Great solution for a small area of indoor vegetation. No maintenance, no mixing, no regulating, no problems. Suprisingly effective little invention. My only question.... why did it take so long for a product like this to be available!?!! Thank you makers of ExHale!

I just bought my second. It is plenty cheaper than other CO2 options. know that CO2 is heavier than air and that if the area is constantly in stir the CO2 won't stay where it does the most good and you should get some nice results with this product. I built a dam around the area to help contain the gas. I am a decent grower so I can't say what part of the percentage this played for certain because I didn't use a meter to check concentrations but my crop is a clear cup winner and this contributed to my success.

The problem with this product is that there is no expiration or start date to gauge the six months it's supposed to be good for. This would also help me figure out how long the store I bought it from had it in stock. How do you know when it's expired? I don't like the amount of money it's being sold for either. IMO it's not worth it in the long run. It's pretty heavy so shipping will drive up the total cost to around 30 or more. I paid over $60 for two bags. I would just make the investment in a propane tank with timer/regulator. I will be back to let you know how it's working, if it's working. So far it just looks like mycelium in a bag with dirt.
